“To be hugged by someone who knows your deepest parts…

that hug holds weight.”

- Tylar knox

Weighted Embrace explores the profound weight held within a hug from someone who knows you deeply. When someone has witnessed your pain, your joy, your weaknesses, and the parts of yourself rarely seen by others, their embrace carries the weight of that knowing.

More than physical touch, the hug holds every moment of understanding, comfort, and quiet presence shared between two people. Weighted Embrace is a reflection on the rare intimacy of being deeply known, understood, and still held.

I created Weighted Embrace after experiencing, for the first time, what it felt like to be held by someone who truly knew me. A weighted embrace is more than a hug. It's the feeling of someone carrying the weight of your pain, your joy, your fears, and your imperfections because they've come to know and love every part of you. This piece is a reflection of that kind of love and the quiet healing that comes from finally feeling understood.

The echoed arms represent the depth of a weighted embrace. They hold not just the body, but the pain, joy, and imperfections of the person within them.
